Correlation Between Student And School On Education

Introduction Have you ever consider if there a connection between student and school on education? Is education system fair and equal throughout the school in US? Are there any hinder that creates disadvantage for any group of student? Home-school relation does have a strong connection on many students’ academic score and performance. Many of these studies look at the relationship between home and school. Some of these research studies specifically focus on how this relation correlate to race, class, culture, language, and nationality. People normally assume that it’s always the students from rich family that does well in school than those from poor family. They would also assume that students who have English as their native language†¦show more content†¦(Anyon) This is significant because the students in this setting are motivate to develop their own ideas different from other classmates. The last one is executive elite where students in the high upper class learn to develop analytical intellectual powers involve skills such as reasoning and problem solving skill. (Anyon) The students here are expected to be at an advance level doing heavy complex course work unlike all the previous social class. It all boils down to the fact that students are being taught and treated differently in certain school base on their parent income. Family Characteristics Another studies examined the relationship between rich and poor country based upon the mathematic test scores. In this study, Ming Ming Chiu used family and school characteristics to analyze student’s success. Under family characteristics, he stated that â€Å"family members can provide resources and additional learning opportunities on which the child can capitalize. (Chiu) This is consider a recommendation to enhance academic through the use of resource. Pedro A. Noguera, who did a research study at Berkeley High School, said a similar context in term of class differences. He stated that â€Å"class privilege creates advantages.† (Noguera) Because of these differences, the amount of knowledge each individual student has vary upon to their family income class. The parent also share the responsibility to the type of education their children receive.
